what is elm city kids?
Kids are a priority for us here and our goal is to partner with parents to help build a spiritual foundation for their children's lives. We want kids to learn more about Jesus in a way that is both exciting, creative, and age-appropriate. We are passionate about making sure our kids are well-cared-for in a safe and fun environment!
on a Sunday morning...
We offer 3 Elm City Kids rooms every Sunday during the service:
Nursery (birth - 2 years), Pre-K (3 - 5 years), and Elementary (1st - 3rd grade).
Our kids programming in the Pre-K and Elementary rooms focuses on teaching kids stories from the Bible, having discussions with them about real-life situations, and always reminding them how much God cares about them. We also sing worship songs, dance, pray together, have a snack, play games, and make crafts. Each month, our program has a new theme, and throughout the month kids are immersed in the Bible and going in depth on a certain topic.
Each room has two background-checked, quality volunteers who are passionate about kids ministry and raising up the next generation in the church.
We use a registration system that prints out name tags for all children, and allows us to access parent contact information. When you arrive, a helpful volunteer will get you checked in. If this is your first time attending, we suggest using this form to add your kids' names into our system before a Sunday morning.
For the older kids...
On the first Sunday of every month, we host Club 345, a mini youth group time for elementary kids in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. We meet directly after the service to have lunch together, read from the Bible, sing worship songs, and play games. All kids in this age group are welcome to join, and the specific dates for each Club 3-4-5 meeting will be announced each month.
On the same Sundays as Club 345, we host a middle school gathering for students in 6th-8th grade after the 2nd service. Join us for games, food, and learning!
