There are resources available for anyone struggling financially, emotionally, or spiritually during this time. Below you'll find links to organizations that can help. 

Food

  • Keene Community Kitchen - Pantry hours are Wednesdays 12:30 - 5:30pm and Thursdays 11:30am - 4:00pm (Application is required for pantry boxes along with proof of income, residence, and ID). Take home meals are served weeknights 5:00 - 6:20pm and Sunday for lunch from 11:00am -12:00pm. The KCK can deliver to participants in Keene, Marlborough, and Swanzey.   • NH Food Map - This website shows location of all food resources and food pantries in New Hampshire.

  • Feeding Tiny Tummies - Delivering meals to families and children in Cheshire County. Contact: (603) 762-5890.

  • SAU 29 - Schools in Cheshire County are delivering or offering meals for students at meal sites. Meals for any student in SAU29 can be picked up behind Franklin School and behind Keene High School from 7:30 - 11:30am (Monday – Friday). 

TRANSPORT

  • Friendly Bus - Transportation offered to seniors (60+) and individuals (18+) with with disabilities who cannot access public transportation. Early bird shopping trips for seniors every Tuesday. More info can be found here

Most providers are offering tele-health visits during the pandemic.

 

 

Counseling

Addiction

  • The Doorway - Recovery support and resources. Doorway connects individuals with treatment and support for long term recovery. To reach The Doorway, call 2-1-1.

MISC

  • Internet ProvidersConsolidated Communications and Spectrum are offering 2 months of free internet for families who are not current clients, and have children who are in school and need to be connected to WiFi. Existing customers can upgrade services at no charge: Consolidated Communications, Spectrum

State 

 

  • New Hampshire Employment Security - Apply for unemployment benefits here.

  • Department of Health and Human Services - Apply for medical, cash, or food stamp benefits here.

  • NH 211 - State-wide resource and referral service. Call 2-1-1 or search here.

Families

  • Healthy Starts - Home visiting program offering parenting support and resources for families (currently virtual).
